# AI book writing prompts and chapter handoff

Source: https://aiebookgenerator.ai/learn/how-to-write-a-book-with-ai
Prepared September 7, 2026. Replace every bracketed field before use.
These prompts require review; they do not guarantee accurate output.

## 1. Review the outline
Reader: [reader and starting knowledge].
Book outcome: [observable result].
Outline: [paste chapters].
For each chapter, state its reader question and output. Flag duplicate
questions and missing prerequisites. Propose a revised order and explain
each move. Do not draft chapters yet.

Review: Are the chapter outputs useful? Is any necessary step absent?

## 2. Draft one section
Draft [section] for [reader]. Answer only [question].
Use these notes: [source IDs and relevant excerpts].
Include this example: [example, labeled real or hypothetical].
Do not invent facts, statistics, quotations, or references.
Mark unsupported claims [VERIFY]. End with [specific reader action].
List unresolved questions separately from the prose.

Review: Open the source for each factual claim. Confirm the example is
represented accurately. Keep unresolved claims out of the release draft.

## 3. Diagnose before rewriting
Compare this draft with the brief and sources. Quote each problematic
passage and classify it: unsupported claim, repetition, missing step,
or voice mismatch. Propose the smallest useful correction. Preserve names,
numbers, quotations, and source IDs unless you identify a discrepancy.
Return the diagnosis before a rewrite.

Review: Approve the diagnosis, then request only the corrections needed.

## Worked source check (invented teaching example)
N1: Two new volunteers asked where the sign-in sheet was.
N2: The welcome sheet named the front desk; the session used the garden room.
N3: The coordinator proposed adding a map and testing the instructions.

Reject: "After introducing the map, attendance improved."
Reason: N3 records a proposal, not an implemented change or measured result.
Supported wording: "The coordinator proposed testing a map before the next session."

Example handoff:
- Established: a directions mismatch was observed; no outcome has been measured.
- Chapter taught: check arrival and sign-in instructions.
- Next chapter: prepare a first assignment after sign-in.
- Do not repeat: the arrival explanation.
- Open question: who answers questions if the coordinator is unavailable?
