Set the book details before you download.
The Publishing desk controls front matter, formatting, and KDP metadata. Add only details you can verify. Metadata can include title, subtitle, author, publisher, description, up to seven keywords, up to three categories, language, publication date, edition, and ISBN.
- Front matter: Review the title page, copyright, table of contents, dedication, and acknowledgements you choose to include.
- Formatting: Choose a trim preset, font family, size, line spacing, alignment, chapter starts, and page numbering.
- Artwork: Confirm the front cover and the latest image linked to each chapter are the assets you intend to export.
- Readiness: Treat warnings as a proofing list. A draft file can download before every publishing detail is complete.
The ZIP prepares a handoff. It does not publish the book.
The KDP preparation package is a local download. AI Ebook Generator does not sign in to Amazon, create a KDP account, upload a manuscript, set a price, submit the title for review, or guarantee acceptance.
The generated cover asset is front artwork only. A print edition may need a separate full wrap with back cover, spine, bleed, barcode space, and exact dimensions based on final page count and KDP specifications.
Open every file in the environment that will judge it.
Open DOCX in Word or another compatible editor, EPUB in more than one reading app, PDF at normal and enlarged zoom, and the final KDP files in KDP Previewer. Click the table of contents and links. Resize the text. Check images, blank pages, widows, headings, scene breaks, and the first and last page of every chapter.
- Content check: Confirm names, dates, claims, quotations, citations, and permissions.
- Navigation check: Use the table of contents and chapter links instead of only scrolling.
- Visual check: Inspect contrast, captions, image relevance, cropping, and text alternatives where the destination supports them.
- Destination check: Validate against the current rules of the retailer, client, email flow, or download page receiving the file.
